A Rule of Law organisation for the 21st century.
The Rule of Law is only as strong as the people prepared to stand up for it. Generation Justice brings them together across borders: law students, lawyers, journalists, politicians, activists, prosecutors and judges, in one organisation with one purpose.
It is politically independent and non-partisan, and it holds every member to one standard: fairness, accountability and equality before the law.
Section 01Who it serves
Those who hand it on, and those who take it up.
Experienced practitioners
Judges, prosecutors, investigators and lawyers who want to pass on what their careers have taught them, and hear what the next generation is asking. Membership is open to you.
Law students
Moderated discussion with other members, with free Rule of Law education, the student publication, competitions and projects listed inside the platform as each one opens.
Lawyers in practice
Practice raises questions a law degree does not answer. Moderated discussion with other members, with panels and introductions to experienced practitioners listed as each one opens.
Student Ambassadors
Students selected to represent Generation Justice at their university or in their country, and held to a higher standard of conduct.
Universities
Partnerships with universities in different countries are part of the model, so that Rule of Law education can reach students where they study.
Section 02How it is run
Governed by its trustees, reviewed by people.
The Board of Trustees
The trustees govern Generation Justice. They include a former Home Secretary, judges, prosecutors, a member of Ukraine’s parliament, and lawyers, investigators and educators from many countries.
Membership by review
Anyone can create a participant account. Formal membership is a separate application, read by a person. It is never granted automatically.
Moderation on the record
Discussion is moderated. Each moderator works within an assigned scope, and every decision is recorded with its reason.
Certificates you control
Where a member holds a certificate, anyone can check it online, but only once the member makes it visible.
