Generation Justice – Member Code of Conduct

1. Commitment to the Rule of Law

Members must uphold and promote the core principles of the Rule of Law, including accountability, equality before the law, fairness, and access to justice.

2. Respect for Others

Members must treat all other participants with respect, regardless of nationality, legal system, background, religion, or opinion. Disagreement is encouraged. Disrespect is not.

3. Civil and Professional Communication

All discussions—whether in writing, online forums, or events—must remain professional, constructive, and relevant. No insults. No trolling. No “keyboard advocacy.”

4. No Political or Ideological Abuse

The platform is not to be used for partisan political campaigning, propaganda, or ideological attacks.
You can discuss law. You can critique systems.
You cannot weaponise the group.

5. Integrity and Honesty

Members must act honestly in all contributions, including academic work, discussions, and project submissions. No plagiarism. No fake credentials.

6. Constructive Engagement

Members are expected to contribute positively—through ideas, discussions, and participation in projects.

7. Respect for Confidentiality

Where discussions involve sensitive legal or social issues, members must respect confidentiality and not disclose information improperly.

8. Zero Tolerance for Discrimination or Harassment

Any form of discrimination, harassment, hate speech, or intimidation will result in immediate removal from the group. No warnings. No debates.

9. Responsible Representation

Members acting in the name of the project in their home countries must:

• Represent the project accurately
• Avoid misstatements or unauthorised commitments
• Act in a way that reflects positively on the Rule of Law and Generation Justice

10. Compliance with Local Laws

Members must ensure that any activities carried out under the project comply with the laws and regulations of their own country.

11. Conflict Resolution

Disputes between members must be handled respectfully and, where necessary, referred to project moderators or leadership for resolution.

12. Acceptance of Oversight

The project organisers reserve the right to:

• Moderate discussions
• Remove content
• Suspend or remove members who breach these rules

13. Commitment to Purpose

By joining, members confirm that they support the mission of promoting and strengthening the Rule of Law globally—and are willing to contribute to that goal in good faith.
