Lord Michael Howard of Lympne
Director and Trustee Senior Legal and Public Leadership
Lord Howard brings to Generation Justice extensive experience in law, government, public administration and national political leadership.
He was called to the Bar at the Inner Temple in 1964 and developed a legal career specialising in employment and planning law. He became Queen's Counsel in 1982.
He entered the United Kingdom Parliament in 1983 and subsequently held a series of senior governmental positions. He joined the Cabinet in 1990 and later served as Home Secretary.
Lord Howard subsequently became Leader of the Conservative Party and Leader of the Opposition between 2003 and 2005.
In 2010 he was created a life peer and became a member of the House of Lords.
Within Generation Justice, Lord Howard contributes a senior perspective grounded in decades of experience of law, government, public institutions and democratic political life.
His participation provides the organisation with experience at the intersection of law, public authority, institutional responsibility and democratic governance.
Éric Gozlan
Trustee Mediation Diplomacy Conflict Prevention and International Engagement
Éric Gozlan is an international mediator and specialist in civil diplomacy, geopolitics and conflict prevention. He is Co-Director of I-Transform and has undertaken mediation and negotiation work involving governmental, non-governmental and civil-society actors.
His work has addressed conflict resolution in the Middle East, the Caucasus and Africa, with an emphasis on intercultural dialogue, practical negotiation and cooperation across institutions. He has also contributed to discussions in the French National Assembly and Senate concerning radicalisation and conflict prevention.
He is a colonel with Europol Ukraine and he was appointed by Europol Ukraine as a negotiator for the return on Ukrainian children abducted by Russia. He also lectures in parliaments and universities and contributes analysis on armed conflict and radicalization and is presently advising the French and Israeli governments on peace negotiations for the current hostilities in the Middle East.
He brings Generation Justice experience in mediation, peacebuilding, international engagement, cultural diplomacy and the protection of vulnerable people in conflict settings.
Dr. Adel Abo Elkasem Ali Eweda
Director and Trustee Judiciary, Public Law, Human Rights and Institutional Governance
After initially rising to prominence as a Major General in the Egyptian army before swapping to a legal career, Dr Eweda brings substantial judicial, academic, governmental and international commercial legal experience and discipline to Generation Justice.
He holds a PhD in Commercial Law from Cairo University, where his doctoral work concerned the legal protection of biotechnology through industrial property. He also holds postgraduate qualifications covering international business transactions, private law, public law, political science and human rights.
His professional career includes approximately twelve years as a Judge within Egypt's Council of State Courts.
During this period his responsibilities included advisory work involving government ministries, public contracts and administrative matters. He also participated in the supervision of parliamentary and presidential elections.
Earlier in his career he served as a Public Prosecutor.
Dr Eweda also has university teaching and professional training experience, including teaching at Cairo University and participation in professional training associated with the World Intellectual Property Organization.
His later professional experience includes senior legal practice, corporate and regulatory work and institutional responsibilities connected with the Egyptian Intellectual Property Authority.
This combination of judicial service, public-law experience, academic work and institutional governance gives Generation Justice direct professional insight into the functioning of legal institutions and the responsibilities of those who serve within them.
Dr José Manuel Ramirez Carrasco
Director and Trustee Judiciary, Anti-Corruption and Latin America
Dr Ramirez is a Peruvian lawyer with more than twenty years of professional experience spanning the justice sector, complex criminal litigation, anti-corruption work and corporate legal practice.
He has served as a criminal judge within the Peruvian judicial system, including judicial responsibilities involving complex criminal proceedings and fundamental rights.
A particularly relevant part of his experience concerns corruption and public accountability.
Dr Ramirez served with the Ad Hoc Public Prosecutor's Office of Peru's Ministry of Justice and Human Rights in connection with the Odebrecht corruption proceedings.
His work included strategic coordination of litigation representing the Peruvian State in significant transnational corruption cases, management of litigation teams, preparation of hearings and evidence, and work involving offences against public administration.
His professional background also includes anti-money-laundering, asset recovery, compliance, international judicial cooperation and corporate legal advisory work.
Dr Ramirez brings to Generation Justice both a Latin American perspective and direct professional experience of some of the central issues with which Rule of Law organisations engage: judicial integrity, corruption, accountability, financial crime, institutional responsibility and the protection of fundamental rights.
Martha Elisa Morán Mina
Director and Trustee Youth Representation and Emerging Legal Leadership
Martha Morán provides an important perspective within the governance of Generation Justice: that of the generation the organisation exists to serve.
She is a law student at Universidad Americana in Asunción, Paraguay, and has participated in legal research and international leadership activities.
Her practical legal experience includes work within Paraguay's judiciary at the Childhood and Adolescence Court in Luque, where her responsibilities have included assisting with court documentation, judicial communications and case-management processes.
She has also undertaken work involving translation and communications and previously served as President of Digital Easy, an initiative developed through the TINKUY programme to provide digital-skills training to entrepreneurs.
She speaks Spanish, English and Portuguese and has pursued additional international and interdisciplinary education.
Her role within Generation Justice helps ensure that young legal voices are represented not simply among programme beneficiaries but within the organisation's own development and governance.
This reflects a central principle of Generation Justice:
Young people should not merely be invited to attend programmes about their future. They should participate in shaping them.
Founder Chairman and Trustee Legal Education International Programme Development and Organisational Leadership
Richard Brady is a British lawyer and international legal educator with more than five decades of professional experience across prosecution, private legal practice, executive management, financial services and professional education.
He began his legal career as a prosecutor in England before establishing and managing his own legal practice in London.
His subsequent career included senior international management and financial-services experience.
Since 2005 his principal professional focus has been international legal education and professional skills development.
As Founder and Director of the British Legal Centre, he has designed and delivered legal and professional training for lawyers, judiciaries, law firms, multinational companies and professional organisations across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Latin America.
His work has included legal education, Legal English, legal writing, contract drafting, negotiation, advocacy and professional skills development.
He founded Generation Justice in 2025 and developed its model combining international university partnerships, free Rule of Law education, University Ambassadors, international professional engagement, student publication and locally led student projects.
As Founder and Chairman, his principal responsibilities include strategic development, educational direction, international partnership building, programme development and fundraising.
His role is to help establish the infrastructure through which experienced legal professionals can pass knowledge and responsibility to the generation that will follow them.
Alisa Rotova
Trustee Ukraine Reconstruction Organizational Development and Donor Programmes
Alisa Rotova is a Ukrainian organisational-development and international-programme professional with experience in reconstruction, donor-funded infrastructure programmes, operational strategy and institutional systems.
As Chief Growth Officer of GERZ Holding, she led work on international donor and reconstruction opportunities, tendering processes, external partnerships, organisational design, policy development, performance measures and preparation for enterprise-resource-planning systems across an organisation of more than 200 employees.
Her non-profit experience includes fundraising materials, grant research, institutional partnerships and cross-border grant arrangements. She has also supported Rebuilding Ukraine REUNITE, coordinating partners that included universities, non-profit organisations and government bodies, and helping to develop its student chapter.
She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Strategic Design and Management with Honours from Parsons School of Design. Her contribution to Generation Justice includes practical knowledge of Ukrainian reconstruction, donor engagement, organisational systems, digital transformation and youth-led international cooperation.
Karina Mandell
Trustee Community Partnerships Subnational Cooperation and Ukraine-United States Relations
Karina Mandell is a community and partnership strategist with experience across local government, non-profit organisations, economic development, fundraising and international municipal cooperation.
She chairs the Baltimore Odesa Sister City Committee, through which she has supported communication among the mayors of Odesa and Baltimore and the Governor of Maryland, encouraged educational and research exchanges, and worked with partner organisations to send approximately US$5 million in medical, nutritional and military aid to Ukraine.
Her professional experience includes economic development for the City of Baltimore, management of a US$1 million community relief fund, community engagement, public-policy work and the creation of cross-sector partnerships among universities, businesses, public bodies and civil-society organisations.
She brings Generation Justice practical experience in community mobilisation, grant stewardship, institutional partnerships, subnational diplomacy and sustained cooperation between Ukraine and the United States.
Mugaddas Abbasov
Trustee International Law Higher Education Strategic Partnerships and Legal Technology
Mugaddas Abbasov is an Azerbaijani lawyer, higher-education professional and PhD candidate in Public International Law. His work combines international academic cooperation, compliance, legal research, institutional development and the responsible use of emerging legal technologies. He serves as International Relations and Strategic Partnerships Coordinator at Altınbaş Cyprus University and as a TOLES Examination Coordinator, with responsibilities covering international partnerships, institutional cooperation, academic development, international student affairs and cross-border engagement. His earlier professional experience includes international marketing, student recruitment, business development, institutional administration and academic teaching. He holds an LLB in Law and an MBA with a focus on Business Law and is completing doctoral research examining intelligence services at the intersection of international law, international relations, intelligence governance and foreign policy, with comparative attention to Azerbaijan, Turkey and Israel. His professional development has a strong focus on Artificial Intelligence, Legal Technology, financial crime compliance, anti-corruption and human rights. He has completed AI and legal technology training delivered by Harvey, together with programmes addressing AI, justice, digital transformation, the rule of law and responsible artificial intelligence through initiatives associated with UNESCO and the University of Oxford, including specialised programmes in money-laundering and terrorist-financing investigations, supervision and regulation. He has also completed anti-corruption programmes with the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) and human-rights training through the Council of Europe HELP Programme, including Children’s Rights in the Digital Environment. He brings to Generation Justice regional networks across Azerbaijan, Turkey and Cyprus, together with experience in higher education, compliance, Legal English assessment, strategic partnerships and emerging legal technologies.
Marie Reine Bayiha Bamseck
Trustee International Humanitarian Law Investigations Transitional Justice and Child Protection
Marie-Reine Bayiha Bamseck is a French and Cameroonian international-law specialist with more than fifteen years of experience in international humanitarian law, human rights, international criminal law, transitional justice and investigations in conflict settings.
Her career includes service with United Nations peace operations, special political missions and investigative bodies. She has worked as an investigator for the United Nations Population Fund, Lead Investigator with the Commission on Human Rights in South Sudan, Associate Investigator with the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, and an assessor judge at the French National Court of Asylum.
She has particular expertise in investigations involving conflict-related sexual violence and crimes against children, including victim-centred and trauma-informed interviewing, evidence assessment, child protection, accountability mechanisms and support for national justice institutions.
She brings Generation Justice substantial experience in international investigations, protection of women and children in armed conflict, transitional justice, judicial decision-making and mentoring women entering international law.
Sviatoslav Andriiovych Yurash
Trustee Ukrainian Parliamentary Affairs Youth Leadership and International Relations
Sviatoslav Yurash is a Ukrainian Member of Parliament who has represented the Servant of the People party in the Verkhovna Rada since 2019. Elected at the age of twenty-three, he became the youngest member of the Ukrainian Parliament.
He studied international relations in Poland and was studying in Kolkata when the Euromaidan protests began. He returned to Ukraine and worked as an organiser of the Euromaidan press centre. He later served as a senior spokesperson during Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s 2019 presidential campaign.
Following Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022, he supported the coordination of foreign volunteers and the delivery of supplies to frontline communities. His experience gives Generation Justice a direct Ukrainian perspective on parliamentary institutions, wartime civic responsibility, international communication and youth participation in public life.
His role strengthens the Board’s understanding of the institutional and practical environment in which the proposed Ukrainian programme will operate. Generation Justice remains politically independent and non-partisan, and his trusteeship is exercised within those organisational commitments.
Rania Ghazzawi
Trustee Middle East Reconstruction Organizational Development and Donor Programmes
Rania Ghazzawi is a Lebanese lawyer and legal education professional with extensive experience supporting and mentoring law students and developing their academic and professional skills.
From 2015 to 2026, she served as an LLM Student Advisor for the University of London International Programme at AUT in Lebanon, where she worked directly with hundreds of postgraduate law students throughout their studies. She advised students on programme applications, course and specialisation choices, academic progression, and the practical challenges they encountered during their studies.
Her work extended considerably beyond academic administration. Rania helped organise and deliver seminars and professional workshops for students with international professors, covering areas including legal writing, arbitration, FIDIC contracts, and oil and gas law. Through this work, she has developed substantial experience in engaging with young lawyers and law students and supporting their transition from legal education into professional practice.
Alongside her work in legal education, Rania has been a registered lawyer with the Beirut Bar Association since 2015 and practises in civil, corporate and commercial law with an international law firm in Beirut.
She is currently pursuing an LLM with the University of London International Programme and has obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Commercial and Corporate Law with Merit. She also holds a Law degree from Sagesse University in Lebanon.
For Generation Justice, Rania brings an especially valuable combination of legal practice and more than a decade of direct engagement with law students. Her experience mentoring, advising and creating educational opportunities for emerging lawyers closely reflects Generation Justice’s mission to develop the next generation of legal professionals committed to strengthening the Rule of Law.
