Community

A community that argues carefully.

Anyone with a participant account can join moderated discussions of the law and put forward topics and speakers for panels. Nothing posted inside appears on the public site.

Close view of the balance held level, both pans hanging evenly.

Section 01Inside the platform

What happens inside.

  1. Discuss

Moderated threads on the law, justice and Legal English practice. A moderator cannot hide, remove or lock a post without recording a reason, and the author is notified.

  2. Propose

Suggest a panel topic or a speaker, or send a question ahead of a panel. A reviewer reads every proposal.

  3. Meet

Panels, workshops and live sessions, listed in the calendar with times in your own time zone.

  4. Watch

Recordings of panels and talks, for anyone who could not attend live.

No private discussion, participant identity, meeting link, proposal, or moderation record appears here.

Section 02The standard

Respect is the first rule.

Before their first post, every participant accepts the Code of Conduct. Members also undertake, when they apply, to communicate respectfully and professionally, never to harass, discriminate or abuse, and to keep their work honest and original. Breaking those undertakings can lead to suspension or removal.

Section 03Join

Make your case.

A participant account opens the discussions. Membership is a separate application, and a person reads every one.
